I thought there should be a thread where people could introduce themselves. I will go first. I am a big fan of Final Fantasy and have played more or less all the games since FFVII. I played FFXI for a lot of years but in the end I grew tired of the game and I had of other things to spend my time on. I am really looking forwards to FFXIV and I just want to get my hands on it. I hope I will have as good a time playing this as I did with FFXI. I hope fishing will be great and I will try out the other HELM activities as well. I am Kida, 33 years old living in Denmark, Europe. I am the creator of this site. I made FinalFishing.com some 7 years ago when FFXI was first released. I hope this site will be an even bigger success and that you all will enjoy it. For a living I am a web-developer.
I have played FFXI about the same time as you. I started with VIII but have played VII since (Hooray for PSN). I also played FFXI for a long time.
I am also counting on playing Galkan (Roegadyn in FFXIV by the way) as I think this is the coolest race. I am looking forwards to fishing in game and try to get as much information as possible into this database.

Hello! I'm 35 years old gamer from Texas, nice to meet y'all  I'm a big fan of FF series. I've play most of FF games except FF2. I played XI for about 2years on and off due to my live stye change. I'm a full time employee and a father of two girls. English is my second languege so forgive me if I miss spell a lot on my post. I'm looking forward to FFXIV and very excited to play DoL and DoH. my race of choice would be Hyur/Botanist at first then maybe Alchamist or Cooking.

Hey everyone!
My in game name is Akadriel, real name Michael. I have been an avid mmo player since eq1. Im 27 years old so i started early :). I have always been interested in both writing guides for games and also with crafting, so when I saw the post for this site I got a little excited. I plan on rolling a Gladiator/Miner/Armorer. I will be happy to help out with any type of stuff you need on the site. I haven't had any friends who want to play this yet so I would love to know what server people are going to once they announce the list.

Hi Akadriel Welcome to DotL. Great to have another avid fan of MMORPG (and hopefully FFXIV once we get started). We are currently looking for moderators of the site and I think I am going to start a thread about this soon. Hello:
I played ffxi basically from day one and with a few 3-6 month breaks sometimes and when I could with work and classes. I fished a lot and experienced the years how it developed through all the rmt bots at the windy fishing guild to watching it become scarce lol. Nothing like reporting zxcvbnm bot every day lol.
..and nothing like a peaceful fishing trip to a quiet stream or pond on ffxi.
Anyway, the ffxi site you did was great and expect more of the same here!

Hello all - I also played fishing... I mean ffxi... from start until about 6 months ago. An avid fisherman but for Ibisu although I did assist my rl friend with his. Really hoping for more level specific contests in-game and a healthy community free of rmt (is that possible?). Anyhow, consider me a like-minded soul who will spend years exploring the wet world of ffxiv with you all.
As lvicious has said - the Final Fishing site was a great resource - looking forward to participating here.

Hi Disciples
I am Sepiroth from München in Germany. I have played FFXI for a very short time but have played FFXIII, FFX and WoW. I am looking forward to getting my hands on FFXIV when it comes out.
I am 18 years old and hope that fishing will be great. I tried your other site once as I tried fishing in FFXI but I never really got that far. I think this will be a great site and I hope that I can help out somehow.

Hello, my name is Byany, real name is Mark. i played FFXI for 4 years. i worked very hard to gain 6 75's and 2 level 100 crafts. I have the say the the most fun i had during that time was when i was crafting or earing money with my crafts. This time, i plan to focus the majority of my time with the DoL and Fishing. needless to say i was stoked when i found this site. I'm looking foward to growing with this comunity.

Hello, my name is Brenda. I loved playing FFXI for over a year with my fiance. We still play XI on occassion but over time more and more RMT took over and real players found it hard to make any gil on the game.
We cant wait to enjoy FFXIV together, we have already pre ordered our copies. I have been mining, harvesting, and I have totally fallen in love with this game
