So I've heard all the issues people have been having. If you're one of them, feel lucky. Rant following.
I picked up FFXIV as soon as Gamestop opened. Installed it fine. Patched it fine. Then tried to create an account. Here's where the problems started.
Couldn't use click to buy, CC denied it. Tried the paypal, CC denied it due to click to buy transaction. So now I have my CC frozen and must wait for a new one in mail.
I did manage to finally get my account on the free trial somehow using crysta, even though I did not have any. Go to play and I got one hour in game. It stormed, internet out. Take a nap for a few hours and check, still out. So I call Charter. After a half hour on the phone, they finally agree to send someone out.
He showed up today. Apparently the new wiring Charter installed less than two months ago had a problem, the storm just helped it out. So now they want $35 for the call to fix the wiring. I don't see that happening, they charge and I'm going DSL.
Now I get back online, and ingame. 10 minutes to maintenance.... At this rate it will have been almost pointless for me to have the collectors edition.
Hope you're all having a better time than me.
