This Guild is being put together for quick reference. All the gathering points are arranged in an easy to access or save pic. The information in this guide is mostly from http://www.mooglebox...ering/index.php with some help from a few other botany spreadsheets. Understanding the information: Every item gathered in the game has a hard set starting remainder.

Using this:

we can find out exactly what we will be getting from the node. After dertirmaining what item it is, we have to strike at the correct location.

Using this 1-5: and and this 1-4:

striking points, We can now sussessfully gather from the node.

Using the Favored notch you can start getting the items you are looking for based on its rareness. (The shorter the starting remainder, the rarer the item is at that node.) I have also compiled the harvesting and quarrying results, and the max yield

Below is the charts:

Gridania:

Limsa:

Uldah:

Coerthas:

Hi solo and welcome to the linkshell and the site.

Thanks for the guide. This has been discussed before but this guide makes it all very clear. I am going to implement this on the site as soon as I find the time as this has proven very useful for me while gathering.

You have posted information about botany and mining but do you know if the information exists about fishing as well. I guess the same rules would apply.

Also... You have listed all the different areas and this should be good when finding Info about the location you are at but is there any difference from area to area when it comes to a certain item? I have glanced at the list and it doesn't seem so.

Once again thanks for the info

I unfortunatly didnt write this guide so i really cant comment on it i know the iron lake stats are right on due to countless hours spent there.

I know im the kind of person who likes visual tools makes it alot easier then just a wall of text.

The auther did mention that they are making one for fishing soonish

I can only speak for Botany, but I assume this applies to all items across all DoL jobs. Items always have the same initial remainder / approach sweetspot / aim sweetspot / max yield regardless of the zone it is found in.

This should be correct. I've caught Crimson Crayfish in Iron Lake, Cassiopeia Hollow and Halitali and they all had the same factors as listed above.
