Is there any trick to obtain red coral in fishing?
I went to the spot location on the Ceadar and choose sweet spot -3. then all I got are only white coral. I have been here for nearly 2 hours now still not see any red one.

I've only caught these in schools, fishing in regular water won't work I'm afraid.

ah I see

Well, but is there any trick to make the school of fish spawn the same spot?

I see a guy today switch between the spearfishing and fishing spot in that location for 30 min. and the message tell me that he got red coral often. so I m wondering if there is a trick to spawn school of fish same location?

It's basically a cycle of 3 spots. Whenever you harvest a spot, school or spearfish and deplete it, you have to harvest and deplete 2 other related spots before you can use the first one again.
Doesn't matter if you go to two spearfish spots or 1 spearfish and 1 school, although 2 spearfish spots are probably faster. At that cross-like clip there's 2 spearfish spots and 1 school. Could probably rotate those... I always got a schools higher up in below image, so I never really bothered.

I`ll share some info with you guys, you wont get red coral from cedarwood anymore only blue and white.

New location is Bald Knoll.

Same Sweet Spot, only fishing schools.

You can confirm it.

Btw, you have to be lvl 38 cause you need stealth.

There is another way to get red coral, farmin wisps in the open dungeon near limsa. Drop rate is ok if you kill em fast enough.

Oh and use sinking minnow, rat tail or goby ball, got on all of them big bites and similar bite rates. Though i think sinking minnow got the most

You can still get red coral from Cedarwood schools, but I feel Bald Knoll is just better since you can get black soles from the same schools. But yeah, the toads and pirates are kinda annoying.
