Didn't get much time to play with this since there was an emergency maintenance tonight, but I found a couple of the new items:

Botany:

Resin, Nine Ivies, +2, Bottom Middle of arc approach, 2/3ish remainder bar
Spruce Branch, Nine Ivies, +4 , very bottom of arc approach, less than half remainder bar

Darksteel Ore is -3 and all the way out on the circles part. It's exactly like Cobalt Ores but 1 notch higher.

Ok so what i have so far: (will try and update)

Grade 5 Nanawa Mines: Leads regular Silver and Iron Ore

- Stiperstone sweetspot is -1, remainder bar is half of the bar, hitspot is same as Iron Ore, and yields 1-3 NQ or HQ

- Kidney Ore sweetspot is -4, remainder bar is same as gemstones (1/4-1/3), hitspot is halfway between middle and largest aim circle. yields 1-10, NQ or HQ

Hope this helps

Haven't tried fishing yet, but someone posted on the Lodestone forums that it's only catchable in the schools at Bald Knoll. They also said that it has the same name as Indigo Herring but stacks differently in your inventory. I may give this a try tomorrow (gd maintenance) just to confirm it.

I have been fishing up and down the schools at bald knoll and still no sign of the Indigo Herring (Young Indigo Herring) item for hamlet defense, i know a few have mentioned this is where u get it but im begining to doubt this claim. I've had no bites on spoon or floating minnow which are preferred baits for herring if anyone has any additional info it would be welcome. (fishing is 48 incase u wondering if im too low ranked)

That's right, it's only on schools @ Bald Knoll, as well as the navigator's ears

Navigator's ears: Sweetspot 0, Bar remainder is same as Colbalt (little more than half-bar) and hitspot is 45° to the left. yields 1-3

Indigo Herring (for the hamlets) sweetspot +3 remainder is the same as rare items (or Kidney Ore), hitspot is middle.
yield 1-10

Yah, they're "Indigo Herring" in the game, but only those fished on Bald Knoll schools.

I used floating minnows

All these new items usually takes two hits for me to get up. Anyone know for certain what we need to stack up on to one-hit them?

I'm unsure if its the main stat or gathering which affects this.

I can't answer your first question, but the answer to your second is the Gathering stat.

Necro-bump:

For the Navigator's Ear, I hit the far left (section 1 if you use the 5-point thing).
Haraldr Haddock tend to be at point 3 (just right of middle), at the Saber Sardine's remainder bar he has pictured.
