Shame that you have no chance at the items unless you're a top 20 supplier though. And being top 20 means diddly squat if people aren't running it and you can't get a group.
The last time I went in to turn in some stuff for anima, 1st place only a few hours before the defense phase was to start was 100k points. I know some people have come up with the strategy of hoarding items and turning in right before the end (if needed), but there was someone with over a million points on my server the first supply phase after patch. I think this just goes without saying that the interest has dwindled, paired along with people are running the crap out of Garuda before her Aerial Blast trigger is fixed.
The chest needs to have a chance to drop militia items so that others can benefit, other than getting dark matter, fireworks and anima. It's fine for a top 20 supplier to get an increased chance, but there's no incentive for anyone who's not. |

Well that sucks. There goes my interest in this and I didn't know that about Garuda. I probably won't get a shot at her before that's fixed. |

As for the difficulty of getting on the top-20 list... well yeah, what did you expect? The event is brand-new, and... well this is the internet. I'm not contradicting your information, but do you know for certain anyone that wasn't on top 20 that got a militia item to drop? All I've heard so far is that top 20 suppliers get these as a bonus from the Captain and nobody I've seen on the Lodestone forums have posted they've seen one come from a chest yet. |

No evidence here; I haven't been following any news regarding Hamlet Defense, nor done any myself. I just thought it would be incredibly stupid if only twenty people across the entire server had any reason to do Hamlet Defense at any given time. Hamlet Defense doesn't give you anything else as a reward, right (besides trash, dark matter, etc.)? Yeah, so far the only rewards for completion are some anima, dark matter, fireworks (if your score is high enough) and I think the higher your score, the more dark matter you get. I haven't done the actual fight since the first time it was available, but I haven't seen any evidence, whether from people I know in game or from posters on the official forums, denying that anyone but the top 20 contributors have received a militia item yet. |
