I guess I am not fully understanding how Guild marks work. I get they are like guild pts from ffxi but I am not getting any marks and I thought you got them when completing leve quests for fishing? At what point do we start earning them? I've done all the rank 1 and 10 fishing leve's except for 1 in Gridania.
What am I missing here cause I need to get Tacklecraft training.
I found this comment on another site too regarding fishing marks:
"I and guild members are capable of doing crafting leve's level 20 and higher
D) NO ONE HAS EVER BEEN GIVEN A CRAFTING LEVE THAT GIVES THEM."

I can't say how it is now but during the open beta you did not earn guild points until 20 leves. I would imagine it was the same now. In the open beta you would earn points pretty fast but I think they will have nerfed the speed of gaining points in the release. But get some 20 leves and you should be on your way to guild mark heaven :D |

wanted to bump this to get any feedback on people who have done any lvl20 leves obtaining marks.
I saw a thread on this on this forum but it was open beta information so doesn't apply.
Would love to see some confirmed information posted here on lvl20 leves and guild mark results please. I'm working to get there and not far off. I was also curious do you have to of completed all rank10 leves to get 20's and what is the soonest people are able to obtain the 20's?
sorry just haven't found any good info on this anywhere. |

On 10--> 20 leve's.
Mine says I can have the option for 20 and camp-name.
However, it won't give them yet.
Probably at RANK 19.
It may be mis-opting me because of over Lv 20 physical.

I've done four level 20 fishing leves so far, and none of them have warranted me guild marks; only gil so far. Guildleves reset in just a couple hours, so maybe the new ones will give me some guild marks. |

I also read this today pertaining to the Rank20 leves:
You can get them at rank 15. They are Gridania only.
I believe the rank 30 ones you should be able to get at rank 25, and they are Limsa Lominsa only.
Rank 40 is Ul'Dah.
I'd like to confirm this but we'll all find out eventually.
I am however getting rank20 battlecraft leves and my highest lvl is lvl13 Fisher but not for fieldcraft yet.
Or is it based on Physcial Level? In that case I'm 17 so that'd explain why I got the 20 in Gridania. Edited by user Monday, October 04, 2010 7:26:44 AM(UTC)

In reply to my previous post above, I just accepted a level 20 fishing guildleve from Gridania and it gave me guildmarks. I can't remember how much it offered originally, but I traded in as many guildleves as I could to bump it up to 1416 guild marks. do you know what the difference was from your other post when you did rank20's but no marks and now? Or was it just a different leve you hadn't done before? Just trying to determine what made it appear. ty for the info^^ Grats on the marks. |

Just saw this topic and thought I'd add in my 2 cents.
I was getting upset over not getting rank 20 leves for botany after hitting rank 15, and then my friend mentioned to me that it was actually at rank 16 that they started to appear. I waited until rank 16, and I was finally able to do rank 16 botany leves. I don't know if this applies to mining and fishing, but I do know at least, for me, rank 20 leves started appearing at rank 16. The first leve I took (In Ul'dah) offered me Botanist's guild marks.
I hope this information is useful to you in some way.

It was the same exact leve I've done a few other times before it (the Monke Onke one). I can't think of anything that I did differently; maybe it's just random. Leves reset in just 14 hours, hopefully it will offer marks again. |

I have a dumb question. With that Cage Feeder u got. Is it a lure only, or is there any way to advantage the stats to regular play? Otherwise rock throwing is still rock throwing...other stats given aside?
I know I'm missing something here...just can't tell what.

So I was excited to pick up the rank 20 guildleves since they reset this morning, only to find out that none of them offered any guild marks for completion. :( Maybe next time?

I hope that's not a dumb question, because it's one I'd like to know the answer to as well. As far as I know, the YG database site has those stats displayed for all the bait and lures, and I have no idea if they affect regular play as I haven't tried it out yet. My "regular play" class is only a level 11 thau that I hardly ever play as I'm too busy fishing. :)
I am also too scared to try out the Cage Feeder as I don't want to lose it and I don't know of a reliable way to get these yet. |

I tried my lone single cage feeder in level 3 waters in Horizon and level 4 waters in Coerthas Eastern Lowlands and all I got were crayfish. Haven't lost it yet, it seems to be a lure, but the level is pretty high 24ish I think. I'm guessing I'm at too low of a level to catch anything good in it...never know though, maybe its only good in certain areas?? |

Saw multiple bazaars last night with alot of cage feeders in them for sale very cheap so they are apparently pretty common. |

The cage feeder is level 27. It is my opinion that it will be best used on the Rank 30 Fishing Guildleve where you catch 3 Lobster. I have received 3 now from the level 20 Gridania guildleves.
Also, as someone has said already. I do think the Guild Mark rewards are random. I did either 4 or 6 without any as a reward, and then started getting some. I turned in as many guildleves as possible to boost them. I have completed 3 separate ones so far already and have over 4000 Guild Marks. Edited by user Wednesday, October 06, 2010 3:46:06 PM(UTC)

I got my first fishing guild marks today from the Monke Onke leve in Gridania. Based on what I and my linkshell has experienced, I'm pretty sure it's random.

I'm getting close to trying for guild marks on lvl 20 leves I think.. so I was wondering what was the earliest Fisherman job level anyone has completed a level 20 leve whether it offered guild marks or not. |
