Rather my retainers do my DoW leveling, that's the real chore.

Gotta tell ya.. as I read that thread again and the fact this is going to be in the beta but to what degree.. concerns me greatly as a DoL. I could understand shards and low lvl mats but if they go beyond that to make it where it can basically bot anything as a gatherer then well say goodbye to the gathering class.

Surely they would not do that.. it has to be on some low lvl form or at least only very specific high lvl items and not encompass everything after you lvl him up.

So is this going to pertain to fishing or did I miss that.. cause if that's the case it really is a bot. Why don't they just have Geo's like in WKC if that's the case where you can farm other peoples geo's, get mats, whatever.

I've tried to keep a positive attitude but it's just the complete lack of DoL involvement on their end that continues to worry me and now how they seem to want to automate a lot of it. Pretty sure fire way to drive people away from the game.

So I read another post and it seems it probably will be for really basic mats but it's just annoying to read people's posts who say if you don't want it to gather for you then don't use it.

While that can be true for low lvl run of the mill items.. I'd be happy with that but you get these comments from people who would rather shoot themselves than do any kind of DoL.

I just hope that DoL is just really freakin awesome otherwise it will be a very short stay for me.

I remember a post from Yoshi I saw a while ago but now cannot find. While they are doing their best to get ARR out the door they are also planning more DoL content for after. ARR will initially be more DoW orientated and that is using up all their current resources.

You will need at least one DoW class to progress in the main game, but DoL is here to stay.

No point speculating and getting excited until we know for sure what they are planning. I am sure it will be well balanced. Chocobo raising, and gardening, may also be coming to ARR. No need to worry about ARR becoming DoW only!
