Hello guys! =)
Just joined, I really want to start playing FFXIV when the 2.0 version is out.
I really like fishing and Alchemy, been reading the fishing guide to subdue my excitement (thank you for such a great guide)
My question is, should I level Alchemy and Culinary while fishing?
I'm not really sure how the stats work, I plan on playing Archer as my fighting ......job? class? You understand! :P
I saw that you can level both Alchemy and Fishing together, but Culinary is a no no it seems? :/
Also! in the guide for example: Crimson Crayfish 41 2C Wind Crystal (6)
You use one Crimson Crayfish with 2 wind crystals and get 6 wind crystals?
Sorry, I was a little confused here, I must have mixed where it's been covered.
My friend was telling me there are Crystals and Clusters, but both of us are new players and don't know much outside of what we read in forums yet.

Hard to tell if this is a bot/spam but just in case.. wait for 2.0 to come out. Asking questions about 1.0 when 2.0 will be completely different is pointless. |

Didn't know you were talking about the beta because all that you mentioned in your first post is content on this site that is from 1.0.. pre beta that will be irrelevant in 2.0. If you want to discuss the actual playable content in a beta phase then yes wait until you can do that and the NDA is lifted which if I'm correct it is not yet. NDA is lifted when Phase 3 hits. Not that it matters, because FSH/CUL/ALC aren't available in Phase 2, so there's literally no information to give. Edited by user Monday, April 15, 2013 9:42:06 AM(UTC)

Also starting phase 3, FSH/CUL/ALC probably won't be of any relevance. So far it doesn't appear this game will be welcoming to serious gatherers and crafters. |
